Jessica Chow, Associate
Jessica Chow believes that as a lawyer, one has to learn and understand their client’s situations as good as, or better, than other professionals in order to mount a good defense. She pursued a career as an attorney because she could continue learning about various fields, abilities, and different work environments. She has the ability to sort through copious amounts of information, pulling out the key details to turn a case. Prior to Workers’ Compensation, Jessica worked in civil collections which has given her a strong foundation to handle high volumes of cases without sacrificing quality of approach. She looks at each case realistically, tempering expectations on all sides, indulging in her passion for the technical aspects of practicing law including the research element. She’ll always go through the case notes, investigating to give a fresh perspective on how the particular sets of facts may play out.
Born in California, Jessica currently lives in Altadena, which is close enough to the city without being completely in the mix of it. She loves the laid-back vibe of the state and spending time with her dogs. Outside of work, she spends time with them and volunteering with animal rescue organizations like RoadDogs and Mixed Mutts Rescue. She also frequently helps her husband with his non-profit organization, the Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation. Jessica also has served on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Barristers/Young Lawyers section since 2015, previously serving as Networking Chair and Barristers Tips Liaison.
