Lupe Carrasco, senior Associate
Lupe always wanted to be a lawyer growing up. He was mesmerized by the way attorneys spoke, the way everyone paid attention to them when they spoke, and the way they were respected. Prior to law school, he worked as a paralegal in a Workers’ Compensation defense firm. The attorneys there inspired him to pursue this field and he’s found the unique elements of it to be both challenging and unique. He prides himself on being prepared and resolving issues quickly rather than allowing cases to linger. Lupe strongly believes that an attorney needs to look at an issue from all angles and use logic to identify the strengths and weaknesses of any particular position. Since Workers’ Compensation is broad in terms of what an injury may be, Lupe finds the facts of each case interesting, and is eager to take on new assignments for his clients.
California born and bred, Lupe grew up in Anaheim, and practiced Workers’ Compensation for eight years in Southern California before moving up to Sacramento. Based in KHL’s Sacramento office, he loves the small town feel of the capitol and its proximity to the Bay Area and Wine Country. Lupe finds California’s diversity to be the spice of life throughout the state and is inspired by the state’s progressiveness. Outside of work, he is married with a son, and has two Boston Terriers who may or may not run the house.
