Teresa Edrington, senior Associate
Literature inspired Teresa to pursue a career as an attorney. She was mentored by a Superior Court judge who emphasized the importance of performing at a high professional standard. For 10 years, Teresa worked as a defense attorney in civil litigation, specializing in personal injury and medical/dental malpractice, before transitioning fully into Workers’ Compensation practice. She’s always found her passion is performing at her best for the client by putting their interests first. Teresa believes that analyzing the facts, identifying the issues and developing an effective litigation plan is the key to prompt and fair resolution or to expeditiously moving the case to trial. She utilizes quick and effective communication paired with excellent analysis to produce great results for clients. Teresa is currently engaged by the State Bar of California, Workers’ Compensation Legal Specialization drafting multiple choice questions for the Legal Specialization Examination.
Born in Washington D.C., Teresa was raised in a large family in Silver Spring, Maryland. She moved to California with her husband, Tim Edrington, an optometrist, who is the Director of the Contact Lens Residency Program at Ketchum Health. Together they have one son who is currently enrolled in the engineering program at the University of Maine in Orono. Southern California’s temperate climate, beautiful lakes, rivers and oceans and the proximity to the mountains and deserts bring her outdoors to explore hiking trails and long walks. Teresa enjoys being with family and friends. She enjoys the performing arts, travel, cooking, reading, gardening and attending or watching local professional baseball and hockey games.
