Tom Shimonovitz, Associate
The ability to jump on board and act as a fighter in his client’s corner motivates Tom Shimonovitz. He works to establish a clear line of communication between himself and clients, utilizing a straightforward approach. The societal insights the law provides, and the way laws and regulations underlie our society fascinate Tom. It’s the act of getting to the heart of how we engage with rules as a society and as a lawyer, one must interpret these rules. Tom has earned several take nothings at trial with positive results and maintains relationships with attorneys across the Workers’ Compensation community allowing him to resolve issues quickly and with favorable resolution. Prior to joining KHL, Tom worked as an in-house attorney at an insurance company and before that, as an applicant’s attorney and in the tech industry building company computers and networks.
Raised in Los Angeles, Tom is a huge sports fan supporting all the hometown teams and considers himself an Angelino at heart. He loves exploring the city, how you can eat food from all over the world and go to a new spot every day if you wanted to. But outside of the city, California’s weather, beaches and people are his favorite things about the state as he is also a fan of the outdoors, enjoying camping, hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
